Imagine knowing, while on your Walk for Life 2025, that you directly involved others who could not be there. People who wanted to take part but could not. People who did not know about Cancer Support France until you told them.
Imagine that and you will start the Walk with an extra spring in you step.
We ask you to consider asking friends and family to sponsor your great effort on behalf of English speakers affected by cancer living in France.
Perhaps you are uncomfortable asking for money… But if people sponsor you, they would be supporting you and, if not, they will have been made more aware of us and our work.
There are many ways to promote your effort to all the people you know:
- on your social media outlet
- by e-mail
- during telephone conversations
- when having coffee with your friends
- at events; French lessons, choir rehearsals, walking groups, art clubs etc.

By raising public awareness and seeking sponsorship for events like Walk for Life, you will be allowing other people to know about and become directly involved in the work of Cancer Support France-Languedoc. Hopefully this encourages more people to make use of the services that we provide, or get involved in our events or as a volunteer.
