Structure

Our Association

CSF-Languedoc is a registered French association dedicated to supporting English-speaking people, (primarily in the Herault and Aveyron), who are affected by cancer as a patient, family member or carer. Our membership stands at around 150 people and includes active volunteers who deliver our services on a voluntary basis, as well as those who simply want to stay informed and support our work. We have no paid staff, but sometimes we do appoint specialists to provide services such as publicity/advertising and complementary therapies.

We are affiliated to Cancer Support France. CSF is a national French organisation with groups in many regions around France. You can learn more about CSF National and access accredited information about different types of cancer and treatments, by visiting the CSF National website.

Our team

All of our active volunteers have received full training from Cancer Support France. However, we are not medically trained.

In addition to our client support team, we have volunteers responsible for organisation and administration. The Association has an elected Executive Committee (referred to as the Bureau) and an appointed Management Council.

The CSF-Languedoc 2022 Bureau comprises :

  • President : Kate Le Mestre
  • Secretary : Jen Glayzer
  • Treasurer : Maggie Dobson

The Council comprises co-ordinators for the following roles:

  • Client Support
  • Training
  • Events and Fundraising
  • Communications
  • Systems
  • Membership
  • Active Volunteers

To contact any of the team you can email us, or call us on our helpline:
04 67 44 87 06.

Everyone who delivers these services does so without payment.

We have professional standards that are set out and used as the basis for all our service delivery and training. CSF-Languedoc works within the framework of operational guidance set out by CSF-National in “A Guide to Cancer Support France, version 3 ; July 2020”.
